Overview

Trade.com Review 2026: A trading brand whose share-CFD commission and futures rollover are more important than a headline zero-fee claim.

Trade.com runs more than one trading and investment proposition across regions. Its global and UK CFD pages describe forex, indices, equities and commodity derivatives, but securities products and country-specific investment firms may be governed by other agreements. A global CFD user should not assume that every service marketed under the Trade.com name shares the same regulator, assets or rights. This is especially important when a stock is represented by a leveraged CFD rather than a custodied security.

The global charges page explicitly lists overnight charges, conversion fees and a possible inactivity fee after more than 90 days. It also advertises no deposit or withdrawal fee charged by Trade.com itself, but says commission may be charged when opening and closing CFDs on shares, crypto, FX and metals. A fee-free funding button is therefore not the same as commission-free dealing.

Editorial review

How Trade.com Works

A hypothetical $10,000 share-CFD purchase and later sale at the same price costs $32 at 0.16% per side, $24 at 0.12%, or $16 at 0.08%, before spread and financing. If the trade finishes at $11,000, the Mini commission is $16 on entry plus $17.60 on exit, or $33.60. The closing fee therefore depends on realized exit value, not only the opening notional.

Trade.com's futures-CFD fee explanation includes a separate rollover spread charge. A contract changing from one underlying futures month to the next can create a large accounting adjustment that reflects contract price differences; it is not pure profit or loss in isolation. The broker's own example distinguishes the contract-price rollover adjustment and the additional spread charge. A trader in an oil CFD must read both before holding across expiry.

### The trade.com account-tier hurdle changes the price of an equity CFD

Trade.com's current global account table publishes different commission percentages and starting spread indicators by account size. Silver starts at $100 and lists **0.20% commission on share and ETF CFDs with a $10 minimum**; Gold starts at $10,000 and lists 0.16%, while Platinum and Exclusive have higher account-size thresholds and other rates. Those are account-balance or funding tiers, not a single flat monthly subscription. A promotional deposit threshold is not a recommendation that the user should keep that much capital with the broker.

The official share-CFD fee document states the commission is calculated at entry and exit, with the close amount adjusted to the actual closing market price. Suppose a Silver client buys $2,000 notional exposure: 0.20% would be $4, so the $10 minimum drives the entry charge. If the position closes at the same $2,000 notional, the exit also costs $10, for **$20 round-trip**, or 1% of exposure even before spread or financing. At $10,000 notional, 0.20% is $20 on entry plus $20 on exit, or **$40**. This is a practical threshold question, not just a headline percentage.

Trade.com Pricing

For a two-week stock-CFD hold, the all-in estimate comprises opening spread, each-side share commission, overnight financing including weekend treatment, conversion into the account currency and potential dividend adjustments. On top of this, an inactive account can incur maintenance charges when the applicable period elapses. A short-term marketing fee table fails to capture this full lifecycle.

The broker's 'no withdrawal fees' statement applies to its own fee; correspondent banks, card issuers and exchange-rate conversion can still reduce the amount the user receives. The displayed conversion rate must be saved at the time of transfer to test the effective cost.

### The minimum commission penalizes small positions

At the Silver 0.20% rate, $10 / 0.002 = **$5,000** is the per-order notional level below which a $10 minimum exceeds the percentage calculation. On a $500 share-CFD position, a $10 charge at entry and exit would be $20 total, or 4% of a flat-price transaction. Such an order must move by more than 4% in the right direction just to offset the modeled explicit dealing fee, before spread and overnight financing. A retail investor making small CFD bets is therefore not evaluating the same economics as a high-balance active trader.

The website displays different spread examples across account tiers, including EUR/USD 1.9 for Silver and 1.4 for Gold. A one-lot EUR/USD CFD at $10/pip differs by about $5 per completed transaction on those indicative figures, dramatically less than the capital gap between the tier entry levels. The practical comparison is whether the higher tier brings enough *actual* volume savings to justify its separate capital and counterparty considerations, not whether the Gold column looks better.

Rates and instrument eligibility can differ by jurisdiction. The arithmetic above follows the specifically cited global fee document and account page, not a live trading statement.

Trade.com Features

A separate official share-CFD commission sheet gives percentage commissions of 0.16% for Mini, 0.12% for Plus and 0.08% for Pro, with the charge assessed on both the opening and closing transaction value. These figures apply to the cited sheet's product and version and cannot be imposed automatically on every current global account.

Who Trade.com Is Best For

Trade.com may fit traders who need a CFD portfolio across several asset types and are prepared to calculate position-level financing and commission. It is a weak substitute for a long-term securities custody account. A buy-and-hold investor should ask whether the position has dividends and ownership rights, rather than assuming a visually similar ticker means it is an owned share.

A customer choosing between a domestic securities product and international CFDs must compare the actual legal route, tax treatment and instrument, not a single shared website.

Trade.com Alternatives

Compare the identical $10,000 stock exposure with a genuine share purchase at a securities broker, including commission, spread, FX cost and financing. The CFD's ability to sell short or use leverage comes with holding costs and contractual counterparty risk. Also compare Trade.com's share-CFD tariffs against other brokers on the same notional and holding period.

### Compare with a real-share broker separately

If the intended trade is a long-term $2,000 investment in actual company stock, Interactive Brokers or another custody broker is a structurally different service from an equity CFD. The buyer should compare beneficial ownership, dividends, financing, margin, custody and corporate actions. For an intraday CFD strategy, instead compare trade.com's two-sided commission and spread with a matching share CFD at IG or another regulated CFD broker. A share-CFD price is not equivalent to a real-share ticket commission.

Our Verdict

Trade.com receives 6.5/10 for unusually useful public examples of rollover and percentage share-CFD commissions. The opportunity is to do a real hold-period calculation, not to treat 'zero deposit fees' as an investment cost summary. Specific counterparty protections must be matched to the chosen country page.

Frequently asked questions

Trade.com FAQ

Does Trade.com charge commission on stock CFDs?

Its official share-CFD sheet lists rates from 0.08% to 0.16% per side depending on account tier, under that document's applicable terms.

What is the Mini fee on a $10,000 same-price round trip?

At 0.16% on entry and on exit, the illustrative total is $32, before spread and financing.

Are Trade.com withdrawals free?

The global page says it does not add a withdrawal fee. Payment providers, conversion and intermediary banks can still impose costs.

Why can futures rollover change my account value?

The underlying futures contract changes between expiries. A price-difference adjustment and a separate rollover spread charge may apply; neither can be assessed solely from the final P&L line.

Are all Trade.com websites covered by one regulator?

No assumption of identical licensing or protections is justified. Verify the exact entity signing a global CFD, UK or securities agreement.

Does a share CFD give me voting rights?

Generally not. It provides contractual price exposure, potentially with financing and dividend adjustments, rather than direct custody of listed shares.
