Platform comparison

Compare ecommerce platforms side by side.

Select the brands you are considering and compare their Ecom Rating, features, ease of use, value, support, pricing, business fit and user feedback using the same data published in our company reviews.

01 · Ratings See where the score difference comes from.

Overall rating is shown alongside Features, Ease of Use, Value and Support.

02 · Cost Compare pricing in context.

Starting price sits next to business fit instead of being treated as an isolated number.

03 · Community User TrueScore remains separate.

Community feedback does not overwrite the editorial Ecom Rating.

04 · Detail Pros and cons come from the reviews.

Use the comparison to narrow the shortlist, then open the full review for deeper research.

Highest Ecom Rating: Sellvia

This is the highest editorial score among the brands currently selected. It is not a universal “best” label; business fit still matters.

Short description
Sellfy is a creator-commerce platform for digital products, subscriptions and merch, with hosted delivery, direct processor payments and several operational rules that become important after a store starts growing.
Sellvia is an all-in-one ecommerce platform combining a ready-made digital product store, hosting, product catalog, order management, advertising tools and built-in business support.
Pros
  • Buyer accounts can give customers self-service access to previous purchases and subscription management
  • Digital purchase access can be manually restricted after a disputed or suspicious order
  • Purchase confirmation links can be manually recovered when delivery emails fail
  • Subscription product updates can be sent specifically to existing buyers with refreshed download access
  • Same-device access does not necessarily consume the five-attempt digital delivery allowance
  • Existing subscribers keep their original pricing and billing interval when a subscription product is changed
  • Email contact migration is available with defined migration assistance rather than requiring a completely manual rebuild
  • Product migration assistance is available on higher plans with a stated 5–20 business day completion window
  • Ready-made ecommerce store included
  • Access to a large catalog of ready-to-sell digital products
  • Hosting and core store infrastructure included
  • 14-day free trial on Sellvia PRO
  • Built-in Sellvia Ads system for customer acquisition
  • $40 introductory Ads Credit for eligible new subscribers
  • Centralized dashboard for orders, commissions, advertising and account activity
  • Digital products are delivered automatically to customers
  • No need to create an entire product catalog before launch
  • Optional Performance Tiers add marketing and growth tools
  • Multiple Sellvia PRO plans available as store requirements grow
  • Beginner-focused setup with fewer separate services to configure
Cons
  • The 14-day trial cannot accept real customer orders because checkout remains disabled until a paid subscription starts
  • Custom header and footer code cannot be tested during the free trial
  • Only one storefront can be operated from a single Sellfy account
  • Sellfy does not currently support multiple staff users on one account
  • Digital purchase emails must be sent by Sellfy and cannot use the seller's own sending domain
  • Purchase-email content can be customized, but the actual sender identity cannot be replaced with the merchant's domain
  • PDF stamping cannot be used on password-protected PDFs
  • PDF stamping is unavailable for PDF files larger than 400 MB
  • PDF stamp font, size and placement cannot be customized
  • Sellfy cannot provide a Netflix-style continuously accessible subscription library
  • A seller cannot technically block a specific customer from making future purchases
  • A paid subscription is required after the 14-day free trial
  • Advertising requires a separate ongoing budget after introductory credit is used
  • Advanced and Ultimate plans cost substantially more than the Basic plan
  • Optional Performance Tiers can increase the total recurring cost
  • Commission is not always fully available immediately after an order is processed
  • Part of eligible commission may remain subject to a validation period
  • The store and integrated services depend on maintaining an active Sellvia subscription
  • Less suitable for users who want to build every part of their ecommerce stack independently
How to read the comparison

A higher score is only one part of the decision.

The comparison tool highlights stronger numeric scores, but the highest-rated platform is not automatically the best choice for every business. A lower-scoring platform can still be the better fit when its pricing model, workflow or target user matches your requirements more closely.
Ecom Rating
Use it as the broad editorial signal.

It summarizes the platform assessment on a 10-point scale and provides the starting point for comparison.

Breakdown
Look for the reason behind the total.

Features, Ease of Use, Value and Support show where one platform gains or loses ground against another.

Best For
Check whether the product is built around your use case.

A platform designed for creators, B2B merchants or multi-store businesses should not be judged only by the same headline score.

User TrueScore
Use community ratings as a second perspective.

Approved user feedback is displayed separately from the editorial score so the two signals remain easy to distinguish.

Comparison FAQ

Before you choose.

The tool is designed for shortlisting rather than declaring one universal winner. Compare the numbers, then use the individual reviews to investigate the differences that matter to your business.

How many ecommerce platforms can I compare at once?
You can compare between two and four company cards at the same time. Keeping the group small makes the detailed rating, pricing, pros and cons rows easier to evaluate side by side.
Are the comparison scores separate from the company reviews?
No. The comparison plugin reads the same company-card data used throughout Ecom Ratings. If an editorial rating or other company field is updated, the comparison reflects the updated card rather than maintaining a second independent score.
Does the highest Ecom Rating mean that platform is always the best choice?
No. The Ecom Rating is a broad editorial assessment. Pricing, category, business fit and the individual Features, Ease of Use, Value and Support scores may make another platform a stronger match for a specific use case.
What is the difference between Ecom Rating and User TrueScore?
Ecom Rating is the site’s editorial score on a 10-point scale. User TrueScore is a separate community rating based on approved user reviews and uses a 5-star scale.
Can I send someone a link to a specific comparison?
Yes. After selecting at least two brands, use the comparison tool’s “Copy comparison link” button. The selected company slugs are stored in the URL so the same comparison can be reopened directly.
