Select the brands you are considering and compare their Ecom Rating, features, ease of use, value, support, pricing, business fit and user feedback using the same data published in our company reviews.

01 · Ratings See where the score difference comes from.

Overall rating is shown alongside Features, Ease of Use, Value and Support.

02 · Cost Compare pricing in context.

Starting price sits next to business fit instead of being treated as an isolated number.

03 · Community User TrueScore remains separate.

Community feedback does not overwrite the editorial Ecom Rating.

04 · Detail Pros and cons come from the reviews.

Short description
Ecwid is an embeddable ecommerce platform that lets businesses operate one catalog across existing websites while centralizing orders, customer data, staff permissions and storefront management.
Wix combines website design, ecommerce, bookings, subscriptions and marketing in one hosted stack, making it unusually strong for businesses whose online revenue comes from more than a conventional product catalog.
Pros
  • Different parts of one catalog can be embedded on different websites without creating separate product databases
  • Staff access can be restricted separately for Sales, Catalog, Marketing, Analytics, Website, Sales Channels and Store Settings
  • The store owner can keep billing and staff-management controls inaccessible to employees
  • Digital download links can be limited by both expiration time and number of download attempts
  • Download-link lifetime and attempt limits can be combined independently for different protection strategies
  • Subscription billing supports daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, biannual and annual cycles
  • Ecwid offers a separate Suspension plan for seasonal or temporarily inactive stores
  • A suspended store can remain publicly browsable while checkout is disabled
  • The Suspension plan keeps Business-plan features available inside the admin
  • Products and settings can continue to be edited while the store is suspended
  • Unused prepaid time is converted into account credit when downgrading to a cheaper plan
  • Failed card and PayPal subscription payments are automatically retried every 12 hours for up to five days
  • Products, services, bookings and subscriptions can operate inside the same business platform
  • Store catalogs can contain up to 50,000 products
  • Physical products, digital products and recurring product subscriptions are supported
  • Multi-currency can support actual checkout currencies instead of only displaying converted prices
  • More than 100 payment providers are available across Wix's supported markets
  • Wix Payments combines orders, payouts, refunds and chargebacks in one dashboard
  • Payments can be authorized first and captured later
  • Checkout settings can automatically create invoices for online orders
  • Saved-card, gift-card and payment settings are managed centrally
  • The free site builder can be used before committing to a paid ecommerce plan
  • Core introduces ecommerce without requiring the highest Wix subscription tier
  • Business Elite supports much larger teams with up to 100 site collaborators
Cons
  • The $5 Starter plan does not support selling downloadable digital products
  • Recurring subscriptions require Business or Unlimited
  • Recurring subscription payments require Stripe or native Lightspeed Payments
  • Business includes only two staff accounts despite supporting granular staff permissions
  • Unlimited is required for unlimited staff accounts
  • Staff members can use the mobile store management app only when they have the full set of permissions
  • Downgrading to a plan without custom-domain support disconnects the custom domain from the Instant Site
  • Paid App Market apps can continue charging while the Ecwid store itself is suspended unless they are separately uninstalled
  • The Suspension plan still costs $12.50 per month even though customers cannot complete checkout
  • Digital files are delivered only after the order payment status becomes Paid
  • Manual or offline payment workflows can therefore require the merchant to update payment status before digital delivery occurs
  • Failed card or PayPal billing can lead to subscription cancellation and account downgrade after the five-day retry period
  • The checkout page cannot be freely redesigned inside the visual Wix Editor
  • The currency converter alone changes display prices but not the transaction currency
  • True multi-currency checkout requires a compatible payment setup
  • Wix Payments is available in substantially fewer countries than Wix itself
  • Payment-provider availability varies by country despite the large overall provider list
  • Cross-border and currency-conversion charges can stack on top of normal Wix Payments processing fees
  • Core is explicitly positioned as basic ecommerce rather than Wix's full commerce feature set
  • The price jump from Business to Business Elite is unusually large
  • Very large catalogs eventually run into the 50,000-product store limit
  • Businesses focused purely on complex commerce operations may not use much of Wix's broader website stack
  • International payment economics require more attention than the headline subscription price suggests
  • Some businesses may eventually outgrow the all-in-one model and prefer a dedicated commerce backend
How to read the comparison

A higher score is only one part of the decision.

The comparison tool highlights stronger numeric scores, but the highest-rated platform is not automatically the best choice for every business. A lower-scoring platform can still be the better fit when its pricing model, workflow or target user matches your requirements more closely.
Ecom Rating
Use it as the broad editorial signal.

It summarizes the platform assessment on a 10-point scale and provides the starting point for comparison.

Breakdown
Look for the reason behind the total.

Features, Ease of Use, Value and Support show where one platform gains or loses ground against another.

Best For
Check whether the product is built around your use case.

A platform designed for creators, B2B merchants or multi-store businesses should not be judged only by the same headline score.

User TrueScore
Use community ratings as a second perspective.

Approved user feedback is displayed separately from the editorial score so the two signals remain easy to distinguish.

Comparison FAQ

Before you choose.

The tool is designed for shortlisting rather than declaring one universal winner. Compare the numbers, then use the individual reviews to investigate the differences that matter to your business.

How many ecommerce platforms can I compare at once?
You can compare between two and four company cards at the same time. Keeping the group small makes the detailed rating, pricing, pros and cons rows easier to evaluate side by side.
Are the comparison scores separate from the company reviews?
No. The comparison plugin reads the same company-card data used throughout Ecom Ratings. If an editorial rating or other company field is updated, the comparison reflects the updated card rather than maintaining a second independent score.
Does the highest Ecom Rating mean that platform is always the best choice?
No. The Ecom Rating is a broad editorial assessment. Pricing, category, business fit and the individual Features, Ease of Use, Value and Support scores may make another platform a stronger match for a specific use case.
What is the difference between Ecom Rating and User TrueScore?
Ecom Rating is the site’s editorial score on a 10-point scale. User TrueScore is a separate community rating based on approved user reviews and uses a 5-star scale.
Can I send someone a link to a specific comparison?
Yes. After selecting at least two brands, use the comparison tool’s “Copy comparison link” button. The selected company slugs are stored in the URL so the same comparison can be reopened directly.
